How to Write the Perfect Resume for a Job

Hello. So right now, I'm going to show you how to write the perfect CV for a job. So this not a CV or resume for everything, the thing that you write in LinkedIn, or what you post on a job search site. So I assume that you have a job in mind and I'm going to show you how to do the perfect CV. So now this is something between a joke and trying to be funny, but at the same time, I think you will learn something very useful out of this video. And some people might say that this is kind of even unethical in a sense, because it's too powerful. But the way I think about it is. There are so many people out there who had a parent who told them this trick. And there are so many other people that don't know this trick and they are seriously disadvantaged. So for everybody who is in the second category, I hope you will find this useful, and if you don't want, never use this one. Okay? So I'm going to take a random, completely random job on the software engineering side, because I know what that is more or less and I'm right now going to show you how to craft the perfect resume for this job. I just searched software engineer and here I have the first answer. And here's how I create my perfect resume for this one.

Just took the title and my name on top of it. And now this is the main thing to learn and remember for this. The resume is not there for you to be picked based on the resume. You don't want to be picked. Nobody will pick you out of your resume. All you want from your resume is not to get rejected. The goal of your resume is not to get rejected. Not get screened out. And what's the most easy way to do that? Copy. Paste! So maybe you need here. if you graduated 2019,

You need to put that there or something reverse chronological. Here's a bullet point experience in Python, Postgres and AWS. So now you see here, this is what they want. You might not have this yet, right? But go do it. So this might be a week of work to get that one. So find a small company, no matter where it is, donate half a week or one week of work and get this done, okay? If you don't have it. So as you can see, I don't lie. I just try to find what I have done, which might be small or big and adapt it to what exactly the resume requires. So I look back through my experience, I give them back their own text, so they cannot reject me. Okay. So for this one, you might have to invest in yourself, find the kind of cheap certification. If you cannot afford a better one, doesn't matter. It's easy to get a scrum master certification. Go get one. Great investment. Now the other three are okay. How do we demonstrate that? I don't know.

I don't know, it might have been a skateboard club, a hiking club, no matter what, probably you did something or you could try to lead something right now. Maybe create your own meetup. And that's it. That's perfectly it. So look at this. Does it look fancy? Complicated? Nope. It's just text very single layout. Now look at this. If I copy this and I paste it, can you see? It looks perfect. So it has to look perfect when it's on a simple text format and it does. And when the algorithm is going to go and search for Python or Postgres is going to find it and it's going to be clear and leadership or whatever, influence skills, collaboration. So you have them all in there. All you have to do is to put your name on top, write the appropriate title below, and then try to match the requirements one by one, using their own text and match that with your own experience and your own qualifications.

And the fact is that when I receive this resume, I cannot reject it. The algorithm cannot reject it. The recruiter cannot reject it. You tell me that you're exactly what I want. Now, of course, you have to be able to support that on the interview, but I hope you can, right? And practice so you can do that. And also if they require something that you don't have and you are not willing to learn, don't put it there and actually do not apply there. Right? So the whole resume just has to do justice to you and your knowledge and represent you in the best way possible. That's the goal. And by doing that on the best way possible, you're going to get to the next step, the interview. Where with a little bit of practice, actually you are going to get the job. So I hope you find this useful. Thanks for watching.
